2002 — The Emergent

School Daze

The seeds of Wild Monkey were sown in a computer science classroom at Justin Ford Kimball High School in Oak Cliff. Mr. Dariet McDuff introduced Henry and Ariel to coding and design—and to a direct, no-bullshit approach to making things that still shapes how we work.

2016 — The Emergent

Grand Start

Wild Monkey became a real agency chapter in a Grand Junction garage: logos for friends and family, flyers for local businesses, a registered LLC, and the belief that scrappy creative work could grow into something lasting. Mentorship helped turn raw ambition into a business.

2017 — Fish don’t fry in the kitchen.

First Flag

The first office arrived, KICS the Monkey became part of the family, and Wild Monkey partnered with the Mesa County Workforce Center to create opportunities for local young creatives. Barter, community, client work, and a lot of improvisation made the agency feel real.

Growing Up

A larger office, the first video work, a growing team, Chamber involvement, and stronger strategic mentorship pushed Wild Monkey beyond simply making things that looked good. The work started gaining more structure, more intention, and more range.

2019 — The Ace Up Our Sleeve

Partners

The move to Dallas marked a major transition. Ariel stepped into the business with a sharper marketing lens, Wild Monkey expanded into digital media buying, family life grew again, and the agency began learning how to work on the business—not only inside it.

2020 — Where’s The TP?

Covid Era

The pandemic brought uncertainty, scarcity, a newborn at home, and another brand recalibration. It also made the priorities clearer: family, community, resilience, useful work, and the ability to keep moving when the plan disappears.

2021 — Living + Learning + Loving

The Bounce Back

Recovery meant taking messy action, using what the previous year taught us, and rebuilding with more patience and perspective. Wild Monkey carried forward the hard lessons, the corporate learnings, and the conviction that progress rarely arrives in a straight line.

2022 — Now / Welcome to New Dallas.

Fresh In Frisco

Frisco became the next home base. The agency deepened its North Texas roots, expanded into government contracting, leaned harder into digital marketing, and built a wider creative network around photography, video, fabrication, design, and growth. The story is still being written.

Still becoming

The point was never to look established. It was to become unmistakably us.

Wild Monkey has moved through classrooms, garages, offices, cities, new babies, hard years, better years, client wins, experiments, mistakes, and reinventions. The common thread is still family, useful creativity, and the refusal to make work that could belong to anybody.
