Chopped Up Cocina / Logo + brand expression

A food brand with enough flavor to live on a sticker.

Chopped Up Cocina was a homegrown street-food venture with a grassroots story and a growing North Texas presence. The identity needed to feel personal, energetic, and useful in the formats a food business actually touches every day.

The assignment

Make the identity feel alive before the first bite.

The project archive centers on the logo and the practical pieces around it: business cards, social media, and stickers. That made personality a functional requirement. The brand had to hold attention quickly, work at hand scale, and stay recognizable when the application changed.

01 / Creative thesis

Do not polish the personality out of it.

Food brands are easy to over-design into sameness. The better move was to keep the system bold, direct, and tactile enough to feel like something people would want to pick up, photograph, peel, post, and remember.

02 / Logo system

The identity needed to make “Chopped Up Cocina” feel like a voice, not just a label. The system favored bold hierarchy and compact recognition so the name could lead in fast-moving, informal environments.

Instead of building the brand around one perfect lockup, the expression was designed to stay useful when cropped, stacked, repeated, or reduced.

01 / VoiceSay the name with confidence.
02 / ShapeStay recognizable small.
03 / EnergyFeel handmade, not homemade.
04 / UseWork wherever the food shows up.

03 / Brand kit

Build for the formats people actually keep.

Business cards, social assets, and stickers are not secondary applications for a growing food brand. They are often the brand. They move through hands, feeds, laptops, coolers, counters, and events long after the first interaction is over.

The system was built to treat those small surfaces as high-value memory devices instead of miniature ads.

04 / Growth without costume

A grassroots brand should still look intentional.

The visual system gave Chopped Up Cocina room to grow without trading away the immediacy that made the business feel personal in the first place. No sales or growth metric is claimed here; the work is presented as the identity and application system Wild Monkey created.
